I am pleased to introduce the Israeli Stone Catalogue including information relating to all types of stones quarried in Israel and presenting the major manufacturers in the Israeli stone industry.

This catalogue has been published by the Israel Stone Manufacturers Association to prevent confusion between the various stones from Israel marketed under the generic name of "Jerusalem Stone". It is intended to serve as a guide and resource to all those interested in working with "Jerusalem Stone".

The Israel Stone Manufacturers Association founded in June 1999 after the understanding between the main stone manufacturers in Israel and the Manufacturers Association of Israel, that such association was needed to represent the growing Israeli stone industry abroad.

The Association requires from all its members to be committed to provide: Quality products, Customer support, Reliability.

The beginning of the new century is a good time for us to present and help you discover the Israeli stone industry in existence from the time of King David.

It is my sincere wish that this catalogue as well as the information made accessible by the Association may contribute to the promotion of the Israeli stone in the world.
